Harry Kane is leading the way for England at the 2026 World Cup, carrying the hopes of a nation on his back.
The England captain is already a Three Lions legend and has over 100 appearances for his country.
Ever since his debut as a 21-year-old, the Bayern Munich forward has consistently delivered for England.
But as of yet, despite two final appearances in the European Championships, no trophy has arrived for Kane and his country.
He will be hoping to end that drought this summer under Thomas Tuchel’s guidance.
Depending on how far England go and as long as he avoids injury, Kane can move up a few places in the appearance makers list.
Harry Kane England caps
Ahead of the World Cup getting underway, Kane was sitting on 114 England appearances.
This put him joint-fourth on the all-time list with Steven Gerrard.
He has since started all three group games for England, moving him beyond David Beckham and onto 117.
Kane is now third in the all-time list.
Wayne Rooney’s 120 appearances is also within reach should England make the semi-finals, but even a run to the final won’t be enough to surpass the Three Lions’ all-time leading appearance maker, Peter Shilton, on 125, yet.
England top appearance maker
1 – Peter Shilton – 125 appearances
2 – Wayne Rooney – 120 appearances
3 – Harry Kane – 117 appearances
4 – Sir David Beckham – 115 appearances
5 – Steven Gerrard – 114 appearances
6 – Bobby Moore – 108 appearances
7 – Ashley Cole – 107 appearances
8 = Sir Bobby Charlton – 106 appearances
8 = Frank Lampard – 106 caps
9 – Billy Wright – 105 appearances
10 – Kyle Walker – 96 appearances
Harry Kane’s England goals
Kane is already England’s top goalscorer at senior level with an incredible 82 goals.
He is miles ahead of Rooney, who is the next closest with 53.
The Bayern Munich star is only 32 as well, so the century of international goals is absolutely on, and it is on his mind as well.
At the time of getting his 100th cap, he said: “It’s possible, it’s there.
“What is it, 34 goals? It is strange, I have touched on it a bit, 100 caps have come round so quick – especially the last few years playing three major tournaments in such a short space of time.
“In those years, I’ve done around 15, 16, 17 caps a year, whereas a normal year would be 10.
“The goals were similar. I felt I was on 30 goals and then, bam, I went to 50 and 60. It is definitely there and definitely possible.
“I feel like I am in a good place, and these are good targets to try to reach. Some people may see them as unrealistic, but I would rather go for something unrealistic and not quite make it rather than be comfortable just saying I will be happy with 70 or 80 goals.”
