Beau Greaves has become the first woman ever to win a PDC ranking title.
The two-time Women’s World Matchplay champion claimed victory at Players Championship 11 on Monday.
Greaves beat Michael Smith 8-7 in the final in a last leg decider in Milton Keynes.
The 22-year-old clinched victory with a stunning 142 checkout with Smith waiting on 20.
It came after Greaves had taken out a 170 finish earlier in the match.
Her win over Smith also followed victories over two more former world champions earlier in the day.
Greaves beat Rob Cross in the quarter-finals before a 7-1 semi-final win over Gary Anderson.
Emotional Greaves on historic win
Speaking after the final, an emotional Greaves explained: “I don’t know why I’m crying so much, I just feel really happy and so proud of myself.
“I’m in shock, honestly. Taking out that 142, I’m in disbelief. To do a checkout like that is rare for me, it’s amazing.
“Maybe this is just the start, I don’t know. To win one of these is just unbelievable.
“Aside from winning Lakeside, this is probably my best ever achievement.”
Greaves is a three-time world champion on the WDF circuit but had yet to win a PDC ranking title.
Her historic win came after back-to-back quarter-final appearances at the previous two ProTour events in Wigan.
She also became the first woman to hit a PDC ProTour nine-darter at Players Championship 6 back in February.
Meanwhile, Greaves is now up to 79th in the world rankings after scooping ÂŁ15,000 with her win on Monday.
It comes after she earned her PDC Tour card through last year’s Development Tour.
Greaves’ performances on the ProTour in 2026 currently have her ranked fifth on the order of merit.
As a result, she is on course to appear at the Players Championship Finals in November.
Beau ‘n’ Arrow has also provisionally qualified for the PDC World Darts Championship based on the current rankings.
She has previously appeared at Alexandra Palace on two previous occasions but is yet to advance beyond the first round.
