With readjustment to the regulations, this will be the first time the new-spec cars are pushed to the limit on track, and it’s going to feel like a brand-new season.

McLaren heads into this sprint weekend rumoured to have the best package upgrades and a strong history with the track.

The Florida hangover?

Miami will always hold a special place in Norris’ heart, as it was the Grand Prix weekend where he added his name to the history books as a Formula 1 race winner.

In 2024, the current world champion was running sixth in the early stages of the race, however, a safety car deployment at the midway point changed everything.

The Brit ended up leading the race, maintained the position and reached the top step of the podium on his 110th attempt.

Despite his great connection with the street track, there’s one thing standing in the way.

Out of the 11 circuits the driver has won at, he has never achieved a double victory at any of them.

Therefore, his win in Miami should theoretically dash any hope for the Brit to repeat his race win, as he has never won more than once at the same place.
