The UFC’s monumental White House event is coming up this weekend.
Last July, US President Donald Trump revealed ambitious plans to hold a UFC ‘championship fight’ at the White House to mark 250 years of American independence.
“Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White? We’re going to have a UFC fight,” Trump, whose association with the chief MMA promotion dates back to 2001, when the now-closed Trump Taj Mahal hosted UFC 30 and UFC 31, said.
“We’re going to have a UFC fight – think of this – on the grounds of the White House — we have a lot of land there.”
UFC CEO White soon made the White House event official and later released remarkable renderings showing how things would look on fight night, which proved almost flawless.
White, who gave a speech at Trump’s inauguration in early 2025, then announced the full UFC White House card, officially billed as UFC Freedom 250, in March.
Despite the promotion’s biggest stars like Conor McGregor, who is now returning in July, and Jon Jones missing out, the show, which marks the first time a live professional sporting event has been held at the White House, is set to be a one-of-a-kind spectacle.
UFC White House: Date, time and how to follow
UFC Freedom 250 will take place on June 14, Trump’s 80th birthday, in Washington, DC.
Trump originally wanted the event to take place on July 4, 2026, but the Wall Street Journal reported the date was moved to a day in June to accommodate plans the President already had in place, under the banner of his ‘Freedom 250’ initiative.
Coverage of the preliminary action, albeit a star-studded lineup, is set to begin at 9pm GMT (4pm ET, 1pm PT) on Saturday.
Main card action is scheduled for 1am GMT on Sunday morning (8pm ET, 5pm PT Saturday).
For fans in the UK and Ireland, UFC White House will be streamed live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.
Those in the US can watch the fights on Paramount+ as part of the promotion’s $7.7billion broadcast deal that began on January 1.

Where exactly will UFC White House take place and how many people will be there?
White has confirmed the event will be held outdoors on the South Lawn of the White House.
“We literally just got done going through all the logistics of how to set it up there, how many people we can have,” he told CBS Mornings in January.
“It’s looking like we’ll have 5,000 people live on the White House lawn – on the South Lawn.
“Then, across the street is the park, it’s called The Ellipse, and we can have 85,000 people there.
“We’re gonna have big screens, a stage, music throughout the day.
“We’re basically going to take over DC that whole week with lots of different things for fight fans.
“The fighters will actually walk from the Oval Office to the Octagon.”
Fan events confirmed
It was confirmed during UFC 327 in April that the promotion will put on several events in the build-up to the historic show.
On Friday, June 12, the UFC Freedom 250 press conference will take place at the Lincoln Memorial from 1am GMT (8pm ET, 5pm PT).
The press conference is free and open to the public.
Then, on the Saturday, the first UFC Freedom 250 fan fest takes place for the ceremonial weigh-in at the Ellipse between 8:30pm-4:30am GMT (3:30-11:30pm ET, 12:30-8:30pm PT).
The promotion has promised live music, panels and Q&As, and athlete meet and greets for the free ticketed event.
The same then applies on fight night on Sunday, June 14, for the UFC Freedom 250 watch party.
Fans will also be able to access the event free of charge, with more information available on UFCFreedom250.com.
Fighters are expected to be allowed warm-up space in the White House itself.
White also revealed in October that he will have to stomach a mind-blowing $700,000 to replace the grass on the South Lawn, where the Octagon will be placed.
“This is a one-of-one experience,” the UFC CEO told the Spinning Backfist MMA Show in early 2026.
“It’s going to be incredible. Not just for the fighters and the fans, but the staff who get to work this event.
“I have 500 employees just in Vegas – everybody wants to work this thing.
“We’re going to have to be selective in who we pick to come work it.
“I’m going to have the department heads start giving me a list of who they think is going to go and who they want.
“We’re going to figure out how many we really need and how many we don’t.”
