Josh Rourke scored a dramatic last-gasp try to help Wakefield earn a 29-23 victory over Huddersfield following a back-and-forth Betfred Super League encounter at the DIY Kitchens Stadium.
Trinity opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Jake Trueman passed to Tom Johnstone, who crossed over in the corner, and captain Mike McMeeken made it 10-0 four minutes later.
Huddersfield got themselves back in the contest within 10 minutes after Jacob Gagai proved too strong for a tackle on the left flank and raced away to cut the deficit to four points.
The Giants put themselves in front immediately after when Cole Geyer slipped under a tackle and dotted down behind the sticks to put them 12-10 in front.
