The pair will once again receive a bye into the second round along with the rest of the top four seeds.
Scotland, the Netherlands and reigning champions Northern Ireland will also skip the opening round.
As for England’s chances, Littler added: “It is whatever happens on the day, especially at the World Cup.
“Last year, it wasn’t the easiest draw for me and Luke. We were huge favourites going into it. I am sure we will bounce back.”
Littler is fresh from winning his 13th PDC premier title with a second Premier League Darts triumph.
The Nuke beat Humphries on finals night at the O2 Arena to dethrone the 2025 champion.
It is the 27th PDC title of Littler’s career in less than three years as a professional.
Following his win, the 19-year-old broke down in tears on stage during an emotional post-match interview.
His interview had to be cut short as Humphries consoled Littler on stage.
The two-time world champion had admitted he had not wanted to continue playing earlier in the Premier League.
