Spurs are occupying the final relegation spot as they sit two points off safety ahead of Sunday night’s trip to Villa Park.
And should they fail to pick up points against the Villans and Leeds in their next two games, Chelsea could seal their fate – ten years after they stopped them winning the Premier League title in the ‘Battle of Stamford Bridge’.
It’s a scenario that has left talkSPORT’s Inside Chelsea panel giddy, with show host Toby Evenden being ever the optimist – despite the club’s shambolic form of late.
He said: “It’s kind of crazy to think about, but there is a world that exists, where we somehow get Champions League via coming sixth, send Tottenham down and win the FA Cup.”
To which ex-Chelsea centre-back and Sports Bar co-host Jason Cundy replied: “If there’s any club out there that can have three managers in one season, one that lasts 106 days, and then go on and win a trophy, it’s Chelsea.
“It’s another final, it’s three finals in a year, three finals, another one, I know we were meant to win the Conference League, got to the Club World Cup [beat Paris Saint-Germain in the final].
“But we are a side that functions under chaos, somehow, a dysfunctional family, we are nuts, we are crazy when it comes to that.”
Revlling at the prospect of the situation unfolding, Chelsea fan and broadcaster Matisse Armani then remarked: “If everything happened that you [Evenden] just said, I’d genuinely laugh.
“Like this would be so funny, [win the FA Cup], send Tottenham down and somehow get Champions League, that is genuinely laughable.”
After Evenden declared ‘it would be incredibly Chelsea’ for that to happen, Cundy then pointed out: “But we’ve still got to get ourselves in sync.
“That’s our job now, and that’s starting to look a bit… start with [Nottingham] Forest [next Monday]! That’s what we’ve got to do, start with Forest.”
Evenden then asked the panel whether they would rather beat City in the FA Cup final or relegate Tottenham.

To which Cundy responded by insisting winning trophies is his main priority.
He said: “Look, give me silverware, Spurs, they still might lose [other matches in relegation battle].”
Matisse agreed with that view, as he simply stated: “You’ve always got to take silverware.”
Though not all agree, with some fans calling talkSPORT’s Drivetime (4pm to 7pm weekdays) to say they’d love to ensure Spurs’ status as a second-tier side.
Phoning up on talkSPORT Drive, Chelsea fan Alan said: “I would lose five FA Cup finals for us to score in the 97th minute to put them down and then watch their faces as we wave and sing at them, bye-bye into the next league.
“And the icing on the cake would be even better, this would be unforgivable and unforgettable, give me [Jamie] O’Hara’s face when that happens.”
Before adding: “I would [give up Champions League football], definitely. I’d rather give up being world champions, anything to put Spurs away, 100 per cent.
