Dagenham & Redbridge have announced their new manager to replace Andy Carroll.
The ex-Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham striker was in caretaker charge after the dismissal of Lee Bradbury in March.
However, his spell has now come to an end after two wins, two draws, and three losses.
After an interview process, Lee Allinson joins the club after a year-and-a-half in charge of Hemel Hempstead Town.
He led them to the National League South play-offs with a fifth-place finish, but they lost to Weston-super-Mare in the Qualifying Round.
What did Dagenham & Redbridge say?
A statement on the club’s official website read: “Dagenham & Redbridge are delighted to announce that Lee Allinson has signed as our first team manager, spearheading an exciting new era at Victoria Road.
“Allinson arrives in East London as one of the most sought-after tactical minds in non-league football.
“Following a rigorous selection process, the board identified Lee as the candidate best equipped to implement a winning culture, bringing with him a modern approach to the game and a recent history of defying the odds.
“The club can also confirm that Lee will begin his duties immediately. Over the coming weeks, further information regarding our retained list and other technical team updates will be shared across our official channels.
“Finally, we had hoped to announce this to fans before it was reported publicly, but unfortunately, the opportunity to conclude this process professionally was taken away from us.
“Welcome to the Daggers, Lee!”
What did Allinson say?
Allinson said: “I am incredibly proud to be joining a club with the stature and history of Dagenham & Redbridge.
“From my first conversations with the leadership group, I saw a shared ambition to move this club forward.
“This is a massive opportunity, and I can’t wait to get to work. I want to build a team that reflects the grit and passion of this community, a team that is hard to beat and exciting to watch.”
Non-executive chairman Anwar Uddin added: “We are thrilled to welcome Lee to the club.
“His recent work has been impossible to ignore; what he achieved at Hemel Hempstead Town demonstrated exactly the kind of tactical acumen and leadership we need.
“To take a part-time side into the play-offs in such a competitive division is a testament to his elite mentality. We are entering a pivotal chapter for the Daggers, and we believe Lee is the right man to lead the charge.”
Who owns Dagenham & Redbridge?
The Happy Fan Group took over Dagenham & Redbridge in March this year.
YouTube superstar KSI has partnered with them as a shareholder and strategic partner.
His goal is to help them reach the Premier League but hasn’t set too many targets.
He said:  “It’s surreal, bro, out of this world. The idea of it excites me so much.
“Years ago, I saw the excitement, the happiness, the joy. I want to bring that back and then surpass it.
“I want the place to be pumping, I want it to be rocking, I want it to be an event whenever you come here.
“Playing a video game and owning a football club is very different, I know that, but with Race to Division One (his FIFA YouTube series), it was a journey. It was hard, but in the end, I did it.
“With this club, I want to do the unthinkable. I want to take Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League.
“It’s obviously going to take time, but I’d say the realistic goal is getting out of this league and entering the National League.”
KSI created history weeks after the takeover by streaming their game with Hampton & Richmond on his YouTube channel.
