The world no. 88 has worked with his father Apostolos since he was a boy and first cut ties with him in August 2024.

Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic then had a stint as his coach, but was left unimpressed and they split after two months.

Stefanos reunited with Apostolos in July, although they have gone their separate ways once again.

Thomas Perrin, who works at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, has become his new coach.

Tsitsipas ‘looking for something completely different’

Speaking on his decision via SDNA, Tsitsipas said: “The older I get, the more difficult it is for me to maintain a stable relationship with my father, compared to when I was a little kid, 18, 19, 20 years old.

“I believe that my father needs other things, just as I need different things. I felt it in the daily energy of our collaboration.

“I feel that we have reached a point where I am now looking for something completely different.

“I have been feeling lately that having my father by my side brings me comfort, but it is not the solution for me to take the next steps and do something different in my career.
