Retired UFC star Dustin Poirier threatened to fight a police officer during his arrest in Georgia last weekend.
In a video obtained by TMZ Sports, the American can be heard at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International airport saying, ‘I’ll fight you right now’ before adding, ‘it’s gonna be bad.’
Poirier, the only man to knock out Conor McGregor in the UFC, was arrested for public drunkenness over Father’s Day weekend.

Poirier stormed over to one officer at the beginning of the video and repeats: “Let’s go big dog.”
The officer asks Poirier what has happened to which the former UFC fighter points to female staff members in the airport and says: “Bunch of h**s.”
Poirier continued: “Let’s go. Let’s go. They’re f****** lying motherf*****s.
“Yeah, pull me off the plane, all my boys went to the f****** crib. Now, what the f***?
The officer asksed “Are you Dustin Poirier?”
Poirier responded: “Man, f*** you, bro. Man, f*** you and f*** her.”
Taking his bag off, the 37-year-old added: “I’ll fight you right now. I’ll go with you right now. Let’s go.”
Before calling for back-up, the officer replied: “I don’t want to fight.”
And Poirier quickly interrupted, saying: “Yeah, tell ’em. Tell ’em. Come on, cause it’s gonna be bad. It’s gonna be bad.”
In quite shocking circumstances, Poirier then seemingly makes his way towards the officer, who appears to reach for his taser before telling the fighter to ‘relax.’
Poirier continued: “You gonna tase me? You gonna tase me? Bro, I’m gonna bang you up.”
Another officer then joined and was told that Poirier was kicked off the flight and is a UFC fighter.
Poirier said the aforementioned flight attendants were ‘lying’ before the footage cuts to Poirier, having seemingly calmed down, asking to be arrested.
He concluded: “That’s the best way, dog.
“Pound it. Pound it. Nah, you did a great job. You did what you could.”
‘I need some help’
Shortly after the footage emerged, Poirier took to Instagram to seemingly confirm that was him.
The 37-year-old said: “I’m at the point where I need some help. Walking away from fighting hasn’t been easy for me and alcohol isn’t the answer.
“It has ruined my father’s life and I will not allow it to ruin mine, my family deserve me at 100 per cent.
“I’m trying to do everything I can to get my mind right and take the right next steps.”
Poirier’s retirement struggles
Poirier’s arrest also brought to light previous comments from the Louisiana man that revealed he has been struggling post-retirement.
He reposted his own quotes via Instagram on Monday of him sharing how difficult the experience has been.
“Some days I’m great, some days I’m not so good,” Poirier had said.
“If I’m not working towards something or trying to better my family I’m a danger to myself.”
