“He is certainly not the most progressive midfielder on the ball either. He has only played two through balls all season and 371 in the final third. Some might argue that isn’t his job, but he is replacing Casemiro who has managed 13 and 436 respectively.
“If there is anymore of an indication needed that Ederson would be a risky move, look at the reaction of Atalanta fans. While they appreciate what he brings to the table, they aren’t cut up about potentially losing him.
“The general consensus is that anything about £40m would represent incredible value for a player they believe they can replace at a cheaper price.”
