Carlos Tevez will be on the lookout for a new role after Argentina-based club Talleres decided not receive a long-term deal.
The ex-Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham forward was appointed last July, succeeding Diego Cocca.
Tevez oversaw 35 games, finishing with a record of 13 wins, 11 draws and 11 defeats.
His final match in charge was on May 9, a 1-0 defeat to Belgrano.
The 42-year-old is now hunting his fourth managerial role since retiring in June 2022.
When did Tevez first become a manager?
Tevez’s first foray into management came shortly after he called time on his playing career.
The fiery forward was handed the reins at Argentinian club Rosario Central in June 2022 but it proved to be a relatively short-lived stint as Tevez departed just five months later.
However, Tevez’s exit wasn’t due to any performance-related concerns.
Instead, the 42-year-old stepped away on his own accord due to the club’s elections.
“The best thing I can do is to step aside,” Tevez said. “It seems to me the most convenient thing to do.”
Tevez added: “If the elections are in December, I can’t get involved in putting together a new team, because if the opposition wins, I can’t get in the way of the new transfer market.
“It puts us all in the middle. If they throw (pass) the elections to next year, we are left with angry people, not being able to vote [who] going to the stadium to insult us.
Tevez ended his Rosario stint with six wins, ten draws and eight losses from 24 games.
The striker dubbed ‘El Apache’ wasn’t out of management terribly long following his exit from Rosario as he was appointed Independiente boss in August 2023.
Although Tevez enjoyed greater success results-wise with the 16-time national champions, he left just in May 2024 following a 0-0 draw with Platense.
Having managed exclusively in Argentina since he retired, Tevez may be tempted to look beyond his home country for his fourth gig.
Given his remarkable playing career, which consisted of stops at Man United, City, Juventus, West Ham and Boca Juniors, a team may feel inclined to roll the dice on a modern day star.
