Wednesday horse racing tips
York
- 2.20: Stressfree 6/1 & Paddy The Squire 11/1 each-way (1pt each)
- 2.55: Desert Falcon 28/1 each-way (0.5pt)
- 3.30: Kind Of Blue 6/1 each-way (1.5pts)
Stressfree & Paddy The Squire
Klassleader almost went from last to first but couldn’t quite keep the lead to fend off Sing Us A Song at Haydock over 1m6f last time out in September.
Sing Us A Song reappeared for his seasonal debut at Epsom late last month but could only finish third, over three lengths off the winner.
He does seem to prefer a longer trip on that and previous form whereas Stressfree is has decent course form and goes well at this distance including last time out at Ripon.
Paddy The Squire could also be an excellent each-way price given his form last year and after two very impressive wins was upped a total of 14lb, but still wasn’t that far off The Reverend at Haydock on his last outing of the season (when upped to 1m6f).
Back down in trip, on good ground is a plus even if he does act on soft, his best form has certainly been on firm ground and looks suited to this galloping track too.
Desert Falcon
Really progressive over the last two seasons and there’s no reason to suggest the latest rise in the weights is enough to stop him progressing.
Can go well fresh and looks to be a massive price considering he’s got some of the best form and most consistent too of most of these runners.
Kind Of Blue
Really progressive and strong sprinter for Wathnan Racing who placed close behind Big Mojo in the Group 1 Sprint Cup Stakes at Haydock in September.
He was actually carrying 2lb more than Big Mojo that day but gets the weight advantage today, carrying 5lb less than the same rival, really encouraging.
